Fees for Services:
Most projects are more affordable than one might think. We are typically
paid on a 1099 basis, which means that client companies do not have to pay for
benefits, payroll taxes, overhead, vacations, and various insurance items.
We have found these areas to typically be 20-40% of additional costs, above the
salary level of an in-house employee. Additionally, client companies do
not have to pay for an employee search, or search firm fee, to look for and hire
specific expertise. When our services are compared to the overall costs of of
hiring a full-time person, including a long term committment to that employee,
our services are typically a reduction in cost both short, and long term.
Having done this type of work for many years, we have learned that it is best to
have some flexibility in how to structure our fees.
Fees will depend on several project-specific factors, including:
-
Location for work to be performed
- The
'on-site/off-site' specifics of each particiular Project
-
Timeline considerations
Projects can range from part-time, to full-time, to concentrated blocks of
additional time to complete each project, as needed. Projects can be
setup on an hourly, weekly, monthly, or fixed-rate billing basis. Please contact us
for further details.
Interim Position Specifics:
- Depending on the specifics of the project, client company,
location and position, often it is most effective to pay us on a equivalent
level to the current employee compensation level which is typically an already
budgetted position. In the long run, we have found that this approach works
very well for client companies.
- Example: staff member leaves the company, and an Interim is
needed until a full employee search can be completed to fill the position:
- In this case, a budgeted compensation level is already in place which typically
includes salary & benefits. It is often best to look at the existing total
cost to the client company of the salary and benefits, and then pay our fee at
an equivalent level.
- Client companies can stay within already budgeted levels, which simplifies many
things. It also eases the burden of pulling out, differentiating, and
explaining details and costs at future budget meetings and compensation
committees. Client companies being able to say that they are paying an interim
at the same existing levels of total compensation is a much easier and quicker
explanation.
Please contact us for any additional information
that may be of assistance. We look forward to the opportunity to meet, or
discuss possibilities which may beneficial to your situation.
